Abstract
The numerical analysis of decompose process of HFC-23 with arc plasma has been performed in this study. The main parameters considered to influence on the volume fraction and turbulence intensity of reaction zone of HFC-23 are plasma reaction temperature and velocity. Assuming the temperature of plasma on the reaction part as 1700K, the inlet velocity of O2 as 2 m/s, the intake velocity and temperature of HFC-23 as 0.02 m/s and 298 K, this study found out that the region of 1500K, decompose temperature was widely spread inside of reaction part. And, this study has shown that there was large speed deviation by the density difference of two gases. Also the volume fraction with temperature was distributed up to 14.2% of mixing zone. but the mixing efficiency was not affected significantly by the change of temperature. The turbulence intensity takes up to 57% reaction area when performing the calculation with 2.5 m/s of O2 velocity.
