Abstract
Hollow TiO2 hemispheres for application in dye-sensitized solar cells are pre-pared by means of rf-sputtering onto colloidal templated substrates. After removing the organic ternplates by thermal decomposition, quasi-ordered networks of hollow TiO2 hemispheres were formed. This approach should open up new opportunities for processing material architectures with high surface activity and effective charge transport for high performance photovoltaic and photoelectrochernical cells.
