- Abstract
- Electrochemical properties of LiFePO4 were investigated by incorporating conductive carbon from three different carbon sources (graphite, carbon black, acetylene black). SEM observations revealed that the carbon-coated LiFePO4 were smaller than the bare LiFePO4 particles. The carbon-coated LiFePO4 showed much better performance in terms of the discharge capacity and cycling stability than the bare LiFePO4. Among carbon-coated LiFePO4, the particles coated with graphite exhibited better electrochemical properties than others coated with carbon black or acetylene black. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd.
