Abstract
A new technique to improve analog optical-transmission performance using all optical single-sideband (SSB) system with cascaded semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) has been proposed. Our 92-km transmission experiment shows that this technique does not show any chromatic-dispersion effects and also gives larger RF gain compared to the conventional SSB modulated signal.
