Abstract
TiN/Ti-silicides composite powders have been synthesized by high-energy ball milling from mixtures of Ti and Si3N4 powders with different molar ratios. As the mole fraction of Ti decreases, the silicide component of the products changes from Ti5Si3 through TiSi2 to TiSi2 + Si. (C) 2003 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
