Abstract
Microstructural evolutions and crystal rotation behaviors taking place in polycrystalline 1050 Al alloy were studied in uniaxial tensile deformation at room temperature. Specimens were elongated by an in-situ deformation stage equipped in a high resolution electron backscattered diffraction (HR-EBSD). Variations of the grain boundary characteristics such as misorientation and density of grain boundary due to uniaxial tensile deformation were analyzed statistically using HR-EBSD. A large number of grains in polycrystalline Al alloy were rotated during deformation and divided into subgrains due to multiple slip, and crystal rotation angles were less than 20degrees.
