Abstract
A long cavity fiber-integrated semiconductor ring laser is demonstrated at 10 GHz. The temporal and spectral characteristics of a harmonically mode-locked laser pulse were described in detail. The laser pulse of 18 ps was compressed to a transform-limited pulse duration of 6.8 ps using an opposite dispersion chirp compensator in an anomalous dispersion regime.
