Abstract
Superconductive electronics can be very useful in very high speed and low power electronic circuit applications. Even though continuous developments in the quality of high-T-c thin films have resulted in rapid progress in high-T-c analzog devices, digital-circuit development efforts have been hindered by the lack of a reliable Josephson-junction fabrication technique. A recent study of single flux quantum logic circuits shows a good prospect for building digital superconductive circuits with the current high-T-c Josephson-junction-fabrication technology. In this work, we report the design and the fabrication of a basic single flux quantum cell, along with the preliminary test results.
