Abstract
Communication: Visible-light-emitting alternating copolymers consisting of two different repeat units have been investigated. The synthesis and optical characterization of PDHFPPV (top in Figure) and PDHFMPV (bottom in Figure) are described. It is shown that these soluble copolymers can be used as the active layer in light-emitting diodes, just like the corresponding homopolymers.
