- Abstract
- In this paper, a reference-less 2.5 Gb/s half-rate Burst Mode Clock and Data Recovery (BMCDR)
circuit is presented. Half-rate GVCO and digital frequency calibration scheme are adopted to reduce
the power consumption as well as chip area. The presented BMCDR is fabricated in a 0.13 μm
standard CMOS process. This work occupies the active area of 0.143 ㎟ and consumes the
current of 123 mA. Measurement results show that the rms and peak-to-peak jitters of the recovered
clock are 11 ps and 75 ps, respectively, and those of the recovered data are 27 ps and 123 ps,
respectively.
