Abstract
In summary, morphology of β-NaYF4:Yb,Er UCNPs was rationally controlled from sphere to rod and from rod to hexagonal prism by adjusting the concentration of ligand and an additive. They emit green light with different color coordinates according to their morphologies. Their composites with PDMS were highly transparent and showed bright green light under 980 nm IR excitation, implying that they are promising materials for transparent threedimensional volumetric displays.
