- Abstract
- Due to the global water scarcity, many trials have been done to obtain enough water source including non-conventional water sources such as desalination and water reuse. Recently, water storage becomes a significant issue due to seasonal and regional water imbalances by the climate change. In this study, aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) system was suggested as a water storage and producing plant. Fenton-based advanced oxidation process (AOP) was applied as the pre-treatment for the ASR system. The AOP treated solution was introduced to the simulated ASR system in Lab. scale. The effects of pH and concentrations of carbamazepine and peroxymonosulfate to the removals of the dissolved organic carbon (DOC) or assimilable organic carbon (AOC) by the indigenous bacteria which was found at the aquifer in Korea (Psudomonas Jinjuensis species) under simulated ASR operating conditions were investigated.
