Abstract
To establish quantitative analysis of the porosity of graft, this research had developed a permeability measuring machine. And the machine compared a weaving graft, firstly developed graft in Korea, with other two existing weaving grafts-made by the Kitamura and the Nakao. The tests for permeability of three different grafts were conducted with saline and animal blood. And the pressures were 120 mmHg and 200 mmHg. With saline, the newly developed graft resulted in 327 and 268(ml/cm2/min) for each pressure, and the Kitamura’s were 249 and 305, and the Nakao°Øs were 244 and 303. And also with animal blood, the new graft marked 202 and 246(ml/ cm2/min) for each pressure, and the Kitamura marked 180 and 215, also the Nakao marked 193 and 220. As the result, the comparison data with actual measurement which were calculated mathematically by the porosity and the specific surface area of the three grafts are indicating same tendency. Therefore, the permeability measuring machine can be said that it is effective in establishing the quantitative analysis of porosity of a graft.
