dc.description.abstract | A concept of single transmitter based positioning system, termed as Mosaic system, is that the transmitter generates multi-channel signals and broadcasts using antenna array. The user receives these signals and calculates the position with the time difference of arrivals. This paper describes the experiment results and analyses focusing on the positioning accuracy of Mosaic system. A test configuration for experiments is three-channel pseudolite using L1 (1575.42MHz) carrier. The number of transmitting antennas is also three, and the formation of antennas is regular triangle. Three cases of distances between transmitting antennas are considered: 0.52, 1.52 , and 2.52, where 2 is a wavelength of L1 carrier. Positioning accuracies of static and dynamic users in indoor environment are investigated and analyzed. Additional experiments about the multipath error, one of major error sources in indoor environment, are conducted to analyze the effect by multipath signals. Experiment results describe that even the experiments of Mosaic system are conducted in common office environment, it can achieve decimeter level positioning accuracy. | - |
