- Abstract
- Recently, Urban Rainwater Harvesting (URWH) has become more important in South Korea. Rainwater utilization has the potential to solve many urban environmental problems. Central and local governments published a series of policies and regulations. Especially, proper management by URWH facilities improves the efficiency of rainwater utilization and the adaptation to climate change and variability. Thus, this paper reviews the regulations and the developing technologies (i.e., harvesting, infiltration, water quality control and reuse) for efficient rainwater harvesting and utilization in urban areas through case studies. ? 2010 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
