- Abstract
- We propose a robotic tableware designed to enhance children's eating habits, called RainbowBot. The RainbowBot comprises a robotic plate, five-color dishes for food, and a spoon. When a child selects food using the spoon, the robotic plate activates an LED matching the food's color. When a child selects a food item to have, an LED in the corresponding color lights up on the robotic plate. When the child eats all five food items, the five rainbow colors on the robotic plate start to sparkle. Leveraging the principles of nudge design and metaphor, the RainbowBot aims to encourage children to consume a diverse range of colored foods with different nutritional benefits.
