Probing terahertz electric potentials across ring-shaped quantum barriers

Abstract

We utilized a ring-shaped metallic island, enclosed by quantum barriers, to probe terahertz electric potentials. Ultrafast bias across the barriers applied by incoming terahertz electric pulse are quantified by femtosecond optical gating pulses. (c) 2024 The Author(s)
