Ambient ozone could be introduced into indoor environments. Potential sources of biogenic VOCs such as car air fresheners could significantly affect air quality in confined spaces. Therefore, there is need to evaluate potential sources of these irritating compounds in order to determine strategies of reducing harmful pollutants in confined areas. In this study, we have analyzed the irritating compounds formed from the ozone-initiated reactions with terpenes emitted from car air freshener. The results provided an insight on the potential exposure of passengers to irritating compounds in confined spaces.-
