Abstract
We prepared Pt-Sn/xAl-SBA-15 catalysts with various ratios of Al to Si and investigated them for propane dehydrogenation in order to understand the influence of the interaction between tin and the supports on catalytic stability. The weaker interaction between SnO (x) and the supports leads to easier formation of Pt-Sn alloys. The formation of Pt-Sn alloys increases the stability of catalysts, and the stability of Pt-Sn/xAl-SBA-15 catalysts is inversely proportional to the aluminum content in SBA-15.
