This is the method that Ni+2 in macroemulsion have deposit in Cu substrate after Ni-plating solution/scCO2 emulsion using the surfactant was formed. For the formation of emulsion, we synthesized fluorocarbon-hydrocarbon hybrid surfactants, in that, sodium salt of bis (2,2,3,3,4,4,5,5-octafluoro-1-pentanol) sulfosuccinate which has both ‘CO2 philic’ chains and ‘hydrophilic’ head group. The plating solution could be reduced to 1/2 times by this new electroplating method. Quality of plated ware was evaluated by using the brilliance, the uniformity on surface of plated ware, and the plating thickness. Plated wares were compared between the results in supercritical condition and that in atmospheric condition.-
