dc.description.abstract | A polymer with quinizarin precursor pendants was prepared for color and fluorescent imaging. The tert-butoxycarbonyl (t-BOC)-protected precursors of the polymer were converted to the quinizarin moieties during a chemical amplification (CA) process in the polymer film, regenerating the original properties of quinizarin. Accordingly, a large bathochromic shift and fluorescence generation were observed. When the polymer film was exposed to ultraviolet in the presence of a photoacid generator, well-resolved fluorescent image patterns were obtained in high sensitivity without any further wet development. The simple and straightforward strategy for patterned images generation via the CA process should be useful in the design of new imaging materials. | - |
