In this work, we report the results for a GMR device based on a Co/Cu multilayer with a ring type bridge structure. This newly designed device showed a large angle dependent response when the sample was rotated in an applied field. The imbalance effect from the bridge structure was a consequence of demagnetisation effects in the GMR ring structure, leading to higher internal magnetic fields in the arms of the bridge parallel to the field direction. This simple ring type bridge structure can be suitable for a wide range of magnetic sensor applications.-
