- Abstract
- The effectiveness of hydrogen charging into a high-strength martensitic steel using an immersion-type method with HCl and NH4SCN solutions was evaluated through thermal desorption spectroscopy and tensile testing. Additionally, the dissolution rate of the Zn coating layer during immersion in different solutions was examined by comparing cross-sectional micrographs and electrochemical Zn stripping. The results showed that NH4SCN facilitated more effective hydrogen charging into Zn-coated steel specimens than HCl. Moreover, NH4SCN delayed the dissolution of the coating layer during immersion, resulting in longer duration compared to HCl.
