- Abstract
- Researches for developing high-performance carbon fibers (CFs) have been conductedinmany applications such as aerospace, automobile and battery. Since conventional carbonfibers display either high tensile strength or high modulus properties due to structural limitations, it has been a challenge to develop carbon fibers with both tensile strengthandmodulus with high conductivity. Therefore, various studies have been conducted toobtainhigh-performance multifunctional carbon fibers. Among them, carbon nanomaterialsincluding carbon nanotubes (CNTs), graphene oxide (GO), and graphene oxide nanoribbon(GONR) have been used commonly to make carbon fibers [1,2]. In this talk, the recent development of carbon nanomaterials-based composite carbon fibers will be introduced.
