Abstract
Threshold substances are analyzed in urine samples using chromatography to determine whether the analytical result indicates an Adverse Analytical Finding (AAF), based on the Decision Limit (DL) applied. The need for sensitive and accurate quantitative analysis has increased. Reference materials can be used to ensure accurate quantification. Biomatrix reference material can enhance the quality of results in laboratory testing by closely resembling actual samples in terms of composition and properties of the analytes. In this study, biomatrix reference material was developed specifically for the accurate quantification of epinephrine. Liquid chromatography?tandem mass spectrometry (LC?MS/MS) was employed to perform quantitative analysis for homogeneity, stability, and traceability studies, which are necessary to validate the reference material.
