dc.description.abstract | Carbon fiber reinforced polymer composite (CFRP) is a structural material widely used in aerospace and automobiles due to its excellent mechanical performances and durability[1]. However, mechanical joining methods such as riveting, that require hole processing drastically deteriorates the mechanical properties[2]. Adhesive bonding is a alternative of mechanical joining, but this makes it more difficult to recycle CFRP. In order to solve this problem, researches on ‘debonding on demand’ (DOD) adhesives that can be disassembled are actively being conducted[3]. In this study, we investigate stitched adhesive film by using steel-aramid braided filament to heat the adhesive (~240°C) for 5 mins. Further, aramid felts are interleaved between the adhesive and CFRP substrates to insulate. The adhesion strength and the degree of damage to the substrates according to the heating time was examined. | - |
