- Abstract
- In this paper, thermo-tactile interaction is investigated using a tactile display. The tactile display device can provide both normal vibrotactile stimulus and temperature together, using piezo-actuating pin-array and a thermo electric module. The main experiment of this research is about the effect of temperature, especially cold temperature, in perceived magnitude of vibrotactile stimuli. Three different conditions of vibrotactile amplitude and frequency were selected for tactile stimuli. Two different conditions were applied for each vibrotactile stimulus. Experimental result shows the effect of temperature condition to the perception of vibrotactile stimuli.
