Abstract
In this paper, the induction motor control system with high dynamic performance by means of decoupling control and motor parameter adaptation is presented. For power efficiency control or field weakening, the rotor flux may be reduced at light loads. Motor inductances depend on rotor flux but not on machine temperature. So, if the rotor flux is changed, the motor inductances should also be changed according to the rotor flux commands. On the other hand, the rotor resistance varies greatly with the machine temperature. The value of rotor resistance must be estimated instantly during the operation. We present novel identification algorithms for motor inductances and rotor resistance. Our identification algorithms are computationally simple and have very small identification errors.
