Population representation of artificial neural network

Abstract

Neural representation is briefly reviewed and its essential features, which are required to be implemented in artificial neural networks, are addressed. They are such as population representation and correlation between neighboring neurons. These aspects play an important role in conveying information, compensating the unreliability of individual neuron.
