Abstract
It has been prepared Nb-ilerite and Me/Nb-ilerite (Me = Pt, Pd) catalysts with pillaring and impregnation methods using the layered silicate of ilerite structure as a host material, and carried out vapor phase Beckmann rearrangement of cyclohexanone oxime to F-caprolactam for the catalysts. It was found that Pt and Pd metals played very important role to improve the catalytic performance of Nb-ilerite. Pt/Nb-ilerite and Pd/Nb-ilerite catalysts exhibited higher lactam selectivities and yields than Nb-ilerite catalyst. Particularly, Pt//Nb-ilerite showed a relatively strong resistance for catalyst deactivation. NH3-TPD measurements for the catalysts revealed that these results were mainly due to the change of acidic properties of the catalysts by metal loading.
