Abstract
The effect of powder characteristics on the microstructure and electrical property of Nb-doped SrTiO3 was investigated. The powder characteristics of SrTiO3 prepared by solid-state reaction using different TiO2 were much dependent on the powder characteristics of TiO2 raw material powders. When the specimens of varied particle sizes were quenched in air during heating at a rate of 3 degrees C/min, the onset temperature of abnormal grain growth and the final grain sixes were increased with increasing the particle size. As the final grain size increased through controlling of abnormal grain growth, the dielectric constant of boundary layer capacitor was increased.
