- Abstract
- The effect of different atomic volume in the three phases during lamellar eutectic growth is discussed and treated. Recent surface energy measurements have allowed a comparison to be made between experiment and theory and it is found that the spacing and undercoolings in the Al-Al2Cu system agree well with theory.
