An alternative to the conventional Fourier diffraction tomography, the diffraction slice-projection algorithm is developed. The results of computer simulations illustrate the validity and usefulness of the presented algorithm based upon a projection function under the Born approximation. A possibility of image enhancements by modifying the projection function for strong inhomogeneities is also discussed.-
